The Lucky 12 flickball

Hi,
Can anyone send me a pic of the arm that kicks the ball back out after the penny has slid down the chute. I think someone has made a replacement. There is a little cog at the back that spins when the penny hits the lever arm, but it seems to jam on the lever and not return to its position or it doesn't kick the cog around enough.

So I found the below picture of I think an Oliver Whales machine. Your ball release lever certainly looks contorted. I suspect someone has tried to bodge the chute and lever to match the coin drop.... Obviously the lever needs the right tension and leverage to actuate the cog. The spring on the picture below looks knackered....

Hello Tommo,
Your replacement arm is not quite the right shape. It has too large an opening around the cog and it needs to be just right and only just clear the teeth on the edges it makes contact with, so that when one side is making contact the other is fractionally clear and vice versa, so each downwards movement on the other end of the arm drives the cog one turn.
If you can't get it quite right, I can trace around an arm and show the measurements. You may have to start again and make yourself a new arm, but you can see from treefrog's pic how it should be.

I seem to recall a number of years ago that replacement arms were available from one of our members on this site, vague feeling it was via our American Arm: John T Peterson. Is my aged memory correct John?

Jerry Chattenton once produced a batch of these arms.
He might have some left?

I think he had the old stock from the closed Nostalgic machines

You are correct, Arrgee. About 15 years ago, I had a run of 100 of these control/release arms reproduced. I sent some to Jerry at the time.

thank you all for the response.it looks like mine has been made too large.il try gluing a small piece on the btm part that kicks the cog up and see if that works.
