Mech removal
I have just got my first Jubilee and I can't get the mech out....
The part circled is stopping it coming out. I have tried some grips on it assuming it moves out the way but it wont budge. What am I missing?

At first I thought there was a red rubber band holding it down .... Duh!
The part with the teeth doesn't move, it's attached to the case.
Check the handle is all the way up.
The round button (white arrow) exits above the casting that doesn't move (black and orange arrow) And clearly isn't high enough, hence check the handle is all the way back.
The loose lever with two holes in the side (above white arrow and to the left of black & orange arrow) along with the casting you've drawn around is connected to the handle and they both form part of the anti-slam device.
Players believing the harder you pulled the handle the faster the reels spun, could easily damage the mech. So if they over did it that loose lever would pivot up through centrifugal force and jam into the teeth in the casting.

Thanks BP. Now you say it goes over the top of the bit circled it looks more obvious the handle isn't up high enough....

all as BP says of course, the reason the parts are not high enough to slide over COULD be that the mech is halfway through a cycle, make sure the mech is at rest and not loaded.
