Bally one armed bandit help

Hello, I wasn't going to ask a question here, as I know in the past a lot of you hate or don't even consider these machines interesting at all.

Anyhow, here goes... I've got a Bally Magic Greaves machine, All the Fun of the Fair. It was a Bally at some point, then Greaves did a rebuild on it as they did in the '70s or '80s. Anyways, you're meant to drop a coin in the front; it's meant to travel through the s10 mech; out the bottom; onto a bit of metal, then into the hopper within the machine. However, my coins are falling short and ending up all in the machine, so either the metal is incorrect or it's set up wrong?

I know it's probably vague as hell, but I am hoping someone knows. It's no oil painting, I'd just like it to function, so if anyone knows a hack to my solution, even better.
Thanks in advance,

Richard

Show pics with the door open please. What coin is it on? I'm assuming the microswitch works and credits when activated by hand? You could just bypass the S10 or adapt it so it takes any coin, the problem with that being any coin other than the correct ones may jam the hopper because everything would go in it, but if its just you playing then it doesn't matter

A up :) Nice to hear from you. It's on 2p, sorry I didn't stipulate. I've already opened the whole gate up on the mech so the coins just drop straight through, trigger the microswitch and credit.

The coins though either are not travelling fast enough to bridge the gap between the bottom of the mech and the opening of the hopper or it's incorrectly set up. I will take some photos and add them to this post, when I have time.

Thank you for responding.

I took some pics. Not sure if the slope is too low from the mech or too high. Or the slope on the hopper is too high or low or too short.
Maybe someone can spot the obvious. I took a video too just uploading now.
I did notice on my other Bally the metal launch the coin hits after going through the mech has been extended.

Hi evening,
I have a Bally since a couple of weeks and I had the same thing more or less. All I did was bend the slope a little upwards below the coin mech. Now it is on top of the slope of the hopper and working fine.

Hi Richard
I use a small adjustable spanner to tweak these sort of things. You can close the spanner up on the thin plate and bend in the direction you need to go... Should be an easy fix buddy.

all the best ... dicky

Thank you for everyone's replies.

The issue is now fixed. I won't show you what I did as it's a mess, but it works. It involved plastic, double sided tape and insulation jointing tape. lol If the same issue arises, I will use the information and fix it correctly like I've been advised. So thank you.

Take care everyone.
