I will try to get the rotating wheel a little tighter so the coins don't fall through. I have ordered from England som sixpence coins which I think the machine is made for.
Right now it is played with old swedish "25-öringar" which I think is about the same size but a bit thinner.
Hopefully the sixpences can solve the problem. 😀

The three signs/glass plates on the front of the machine I have made in the computer myself and have them printed on glass at a local sign workshop here in Sweden.
Works fine 'til I find originals.

Coin problem - Aristocrat Tic Tac Toe

Post by perre64 »

Topic merged - Site Admin.

When I drop down the coin it gets stuck here (A).
I have to push down this (B).
Than (C) moves away and let the coin drop down.
I have cleaned everything inside so there must be something else that is wrong.
Is there an adjustment to be done or something else?

The coin badge says 6d but the coin entry hole looks to have a sleeve of some kind? It's difficult to judge from picture, but the coin carrier plate maybe was for a larger coin? The coin you mentioned is maybe larger diameter than sixpence, maybe closer to our Shilling coin? Maybe best to check coin carrier plate/25 ore/coin entry and payout slides to check sizing etc?

There's also more than one kind of rotary setup too... Most common in the UK, is one with a metal backplate with cutouts, 2 metal coin carrier plates and with a clear plastic front, that has corresponding cutouts to the metal backplate. Obviously you have all the skill to produce your own artwork!

I didn't see you started another thread.... *Now merged - Site Admin.

Before you start making any adjustments, you need to check that payout slides are correct for the coin use. You want to adjust this part and the coin entry too. However, first check the coin is not getting stuck, as front faceplate is not too tight, or the coin is the wrong [too] thickness for the coin pathway on this mechanism...

If it's the correct coin thickness and diameter, then you can adjust a lever on the handle side of the mechanism. This adjustment will move the coin detecting arm and allow the coin to drop to the resting position, held by the spring and lever to its left. You need to adjust the lever enough to allow this, but not too much, otherwise the mechanism can be played without a coin.

The metal lever is vertical with a plastic portion on each end. The plastic sections have ball connectors. You will see a thread on the lever above the lower one, and below the higher
one, that show adjustment potential. Be very careful - these break very easily too!

Sorry, no pictures or pc to help. Hopefully others will help you with pictures.

Thanks for your answer.
I have adjusted the metal lever as much as it goes (I guess) but the problem remains.

Right here is where the coins stops so something must get in the way here.

Is the file too big or is the MP4 format not supported here?
Shove it on Youtube, or similar, then post a link to it here.

If this could be a little bit more up in its initial position I think it would be enough to let the coin drop down as it should.
But I don't know how to fix it.
