Missing posts

Not sure if there are still issues, but I think about 20-30% of the posts have disappeared

Hi Tree-Frog. Yes, there are still problems I'm afraid. All posts by members who joined after Oct 2010 seem to be missing. This is clearly related to the fact that all memberships after that date are also missing!

If you have noticed other posts missing that don't fit that description, I'd be grateful if you could let me know.

The website host notified me that they were doing another server migration a few days ago assuring me that "All moves will be done from 10:00 p.m. MDT through 2:00 a.m. MDT although individual interruptions of service are expected to be around 5 minutes". I thought therefore there was no need to announce it. I should have known better. So far I've battled through four mess-ups they've caused and as you've noticed there are more to resolve.

If you spot anything else, please let me know. Cheers.

I cannot tell if it is just posts for new members, but individual stats are down, for all members, also the arena does not allow login, but of course that could just be me..

I have just tried to log in to the Arena and I am also locked out so you are not on your own

I apologise for the problem you've encountered with the Arena.
If it's any consolation, I can't log on either!
Sounds like they've screwed up that membership database too.
I can't get any help from the host administrators until Monday, but I'll see what I can do in the meantime, and extend your membership to compensate when it's working again.

Tree-Frog - have you noticed if any of your earlier posts are missing? Or can you identify a specific post that's missing? I noticed for example the topic Drunk in the cellar is gone, but that was a new member's post.

My memory is pretty poor, but will try and look to see anything specific, I was only going by the posting stats.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Hadn't tested it, but suspected as much.
I think most problems have arisen because the host has forgotten I'm paying for unlimited server disk space.
They haven't allocated enough space on the new server to accommodate the site. Like pouring a pint of beer into a half pint glass - lots of it went down the drain and there's no room for a frothy head!
Anyway, it's still too early in Utah to get a response.
