Who is on line?

Post by andydotp »

Not sure I like being referred to as a 'user' (at the bottom of the page)
That phrase has negative drug-using conotations,(sp),,, and as for being 'registered'? where? with the Parole Board?
One person's even 'hiding' for goodness sake! AND,, they bought two 'Guests". Who let them in?,,Wot's this place coming to?

I have to agree with you Andy, personally I think we can trace it back to when we started letting colonials in.

Has to be colonials, after all we do STILL own the USA of course. My two favorite quotes on the subject are 1. from the Duke of Westminster who was asked to sell the land in Grovsner Sq to the USA for their Embassy and replied, "Only if they return my estates confiscated by them in 1780" :tut and 2. by a very witty friend of mine who put down a drunk American colonial who taunted him, saying the USA celebrated the 4th of July because, "That's when we beat the British" by replying that Britain celebrates the 8th of March. When asked why, he said "Because that's when we left." !!RAYOF!!

By the way, St Thomas in the US Virgin islands was leased to the USA during the war (first one, I think). That lease is up now and we want it back please! dirtdog

To continue this ridiculousness, great quotes there Coppinpr.
My fave (after Churchill's "Yes madam but I'll be sober in the morning...") is our 'Enry (Cooper) on Parkinson when that old bird who wanted boxing banned said, "Mr Cooper have you seen the state of your nose?" and 'Enry replied, "Yes madam. Boxing's my excuse, what's yours?". Classic...

Oh and another thing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
You Mods refer to yourself as 'Legends' in the footer...
How appropriate, a foot being the end of the leg I mean.
Have we all calmed down now? Bit of tension there earlier chasps..
Regs to all.
