Modifications have now been made to the Forum to prevent Spammers.
It's already blocked 3 Spam attempts in the last 24 hours. They're tenacious pests, so I doubt we've seen the last of them, but for the present it should deter most. And if anything does get through, we have several active moderators who delete Spam on sight.
It would be a shame to abandon the open forums for the reasons given above. The reluctance to use one's email address to join an online board is understandable and ironically also a consequence of Spammers and unscrupulous boards that sell data to them.

I deleted it after answering Cheeky. Interestingly (if it was one of those automated trawling bots) it firstly joined as a member. See "oftendfkimberli" and then posted in almost every category and each post had the obligatory 100 or so links.
Perhaps Site Admin should delete its membership as I suppose it now has direct access, for what good that would do, it joined up easily enough.
Interesting that it's raised so much curiosity from everybody. I'd have thought our already failing eyesight would have perished completely if anyone were to attempt anything suggested in its content.
So no it really wasn't further technical chatter from our Bombay branch of Oliver Whales.
