Re: Odd things happening
Hi Andy
Is this resolved now?
I understand it's harder for Australian's to empty their cash - they've got so much of it.

Re: Odd things happening
I'm not surprised there are some teething problems. Although the idea was to keep everything looking the same, it has required quite radical changes. I didn't take the decision to do it lightly, in view of the work involved and problems it was bound to cause. The server overload issue forced me into it really. However, for reasons stated above, it's a better system.
I can't see the address bar in your screen grab, but I'm guessing it looks like this:
when it should look like this The difference is the ..htm? bit, which is the extra (now defunct) navigator frame.
This would happen if you visit the site from one of your old saved links, for example.
One of two things to try:
Click on the Forum flag on the second navigator. This should reload the Forum correctly.
Or click this link: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3714&p=22331 - which should reload this page correctly within a new window.
I think you're trapped within the old frameset. Sounds painful, but I believe there's a cure...Arrgee wrote:...I have two side bar menus every time that I can't get rid of

Sounds like progress to me. I think your browser cache is now cleared. Please try the suggestions above.andydotp wrote:...two hours later ,,, two tool bars as well..
That's annoying, but par for the course I guess. Unfortunately, until I swap my old teleprinter for one of those new-fangled phones, I may not be able to fix it. I'll see what I can do...urbanbody wrote:on iphone, the screen doesn't scroll.... it did it before

Re: Odd things happening
Hi PM
I didn't have a side bar
Now it's back
Now your site is too wide for my screen!
I've reduced it to 75% , but now I can't read the writing.
Perhaps you have
Ps Can't get into the Arena

Re: Odd things happening
Thanks for the feedback.
I think they're now mostly resolved. Tested on versions of Firefox, Chrome, Chromium, Opera, Internet Explorer and some others on Windows and Linux. Also tested others via online emulator, including iPhone. Some parts of the site not addressed yet.
Coin-op - I also saw the lost navigator issue you emailed about yesterday and think it's fixed now.
Hmmm... Jan 01 1970 - wouldn't we all like to nip back for a few days shopping.
That's good. I spent hours yesterday ironing out those little gremlins (unless I dreamt it)bryans fan wrote:It all appears to be working normally now

That's weird. Anyone else getting that? I'll see what I can discover.banditboy wrote:I was wondering if anyone has noticed the "Last time visited" icon. Mine says: Thu Jan 01 1970.

Re: Odd things happening
Ah, that explains something for me. I too had noticed the double sidebar on many occasions, then when I looked again it was gone.
When I come to the site using my saved bookmark, I get a double side bar on every forum I visit, UNTIL I click on the "Board Index" link at the top of the page. After that, no more double side bars anywhere. Everything else seems depressingly normal in Firefox, no exciting squiggly lines at all.
