Should forum posting be members only?

A poll in response to this feedback.

Should forum posting be restricted to registered and signed-in members only?

Currently the forum is configured so that "Some forums should require members to be signed in before posting."
Specifically the Feedback, Open and Auction forums allow posting by non-members and members who have not signed on.

Posting images is restricted to signed-in members (and will remain so).

Note: this poll is open to all (members or not) but permits only one vote.

I voted in favour of Guest posts. I think anonymous posts are better than no posts at all.

Edge of their seats with indifference if you ask me..... they must have missed the bit about £10 via Paypal for voting!

Not being totally aware of how the pixies inside my computer work I could be (usually are) totally wrong, but .........
How would the system know a guest hadn't already voted?

It doesn't need to; we're all honest and full of boundless integrity (trust me on this one)

Not much response. Maybe only a few care.
"All but the Open Forum should require members to be signed in before posting" leads by one vote at the moment, so to show your votes count - the Open Forum is now the only one that allows unregistered posting.

I'll leave the poll open and will change permissions again as votes demand.

Happy Christmas!
