I've detected what seems to be a common problem we face, that of persuading the dear wife that it will be an investment to buy the next machine and then how to get it into the house. You're not bringing that pile of "rusty scrap" or "worm eaten junk" in here. Several excuses or sacrifices must have been made in the past and we ought to compile a list of the best ones to share for our mutual benefit. You will be pleased to know that I needed to earn some serious brownie points in order to be allowed a day off from my chores to go to Coventry. So I gritted my teeth and made the supreme sacrifice and took the wife to Wembley to the Cliff Richard concert. It was tough sitting there amongst thousands of screaming middle aged women. "We love you Cliff." Luckily I got out in one piece so, brownie points in the bag, I'm off. See you at Coventry.
