I quite fancy a 1950s type rifle gallery, but they don't come up very often.Longbobongo wrote:No projects for me
But I am looking out for a crane this year. Let's see what pops up on ebay.

The cowman's projects include a Lighthouse Gripper by Quested Automatics (8 foot high and won't fit in their house ), a Circle Skill wall machine and a Charles Ahrens Punch Ball.

No, not for sale, sorry. I will have to dig the floor out a bit or have the top sticking out upstairs? but I don't think the latter will go down well

I see your line of thinking Jimmy but don't think putting your lighthouse down a well is the answer.

I like the look of the lighthouse. You don't see many up for sale. Thinking about it, I've never seen any up for sale . Has anyone ever seen one in a public amusement arcade lately???

How far down does the punch-bag drop?
I wouldn't want to take a swing at it with that iron guard too close ...... could make your knuckles sting a bit.

Have you seriously never seen or played one BP!? Though the punchball in this video doesn't return right back into the cradle as it should.

Re: 2010 What now ?
It drops about 10/12 inches ....that's how you wind the mec up by inserting a penny and pulling it down. It resets the dial and tensions the spring to return it to the place in the picture..... I do have a spare punchball that is a bit bigger, but not sure what to fill it with. The one that is on is a pump up type... There is a chance of hitting the metal if you're a bit simple.

No I haven't.Gameswat wrote:Have you seriously never seen or played one BP!?
The only times I ever felt the need to start waving clenched fists about was as a publican in London.
And that was only because you can't negotiate with a drunk, and they always have two equally drunk colleagues with them who will be out of the toilets any second now.

Without knowing somebody who could lend you originals to make molds from, it could be trificult.
Then again looking at the leaflet you could just buy a new one for £45 and throw the rest of the machine away.
