Here's some "Wineasies" that I used to own. None with Showmen's pain I'm afraid. The ones called Wineasy are I think renamed English Allwins. One is an electric payout, another is an automatic payout. I can't show mechanism as I no longer have them and did not take a photo of this.

Bob, what about a few pics of the Aussie versions with the cast face, SS LUNA I think? I found the registered design for them. Very cool for a non British Allwin/Wineasy.

Anyone in Oz got a Bryans Payramid?? or interesting Allwin (preferably ciggie payout) and want to sell or trade for a bandit coz I'm a-lookin'.
Jingle found a Bullion in a shop nr Mt. Eliza when he was living here and I found a Ruffler & Walker 24 cup in a Geelong antique store.
Speaking of Geelong - when I migrated here in '93 they had a flippin' topless hardware store there.... (Sundays 6pm 'til closing time) dozens of 'handy-men' traipsing the isles pushing empty trolleys,,, 'er,, bag 'o nails please luv'.....Hilarious..
but somewhat off topic. Apols.

Do want another Payramid though..

I haven't got these on the computer. I'd have to go through thousands of photos to find them. When I get some time I'll dig them out and put them on here.

Thanks for pics Bob, very similar to English allwins. Would they have been manufactured in Australia (do you have a makers name? It all helps towards the history) or perhaps they are English and the paperwork changed.

From what I can see from the pics, the coin payout on a couple of those machines look decidedly BMco to me.

None of these machines have any manufacturers, distributers or operators names on them. I have always thought that numbers 1, 4, 5 and 6 are English machines (Allwins) with the paperwork changed and 1, 4 and 5 being rehoused in new cabinets. I think that number 2 with the automatic payout is probably Australian with the payout trim piece possibly coming from another machine. I have seen two other examples of this machine. I believe that number 3, the electric coin payout, is Australian. I have thought that number 7 may be Australian.
I wasn't making any claims about these machines being Australian, merely that I found them here in Australia and as they have been in my collection I had them ready to hand on my computer. When I get the chance I will go through my photos, scan them and show the machines that Rory mentions that he found the Australian design patents for.

Well I've finally gone through my many thousands of photos of coin ops and here are machines that I THINK are Australian made. Some I'm sure are Australian made and I'll label those. Few have any markings, only one, the Skillmaster, has a manufacturers name on it. Some Rory has found the design patents for. I'll do another posting with machines I've come across in Australia, but not seen elsewhere which MAY be Australian but I just don't know. I'd be keen to see if anybody has come across any of these out of Australia.
