Re: Bally Haunted Mansion (Photoshop or similar help )
What the members of Pennymachines will do for one another is quite astonishing, this being an excellent example. I can think of no other forum where members will go to such lengths expending time, energy and talents when presented with another's problem.
Well done, lads; well done indeed.

Re: Bally Haunted Mansion (Photoshop or similar help )
Yes, it's been fantastic, and I now have two maybe three to choose from. I thank everyone who has helped me with this.
I know this may seem a dumb question but how do you remove the belly glass please? I can't see anything to undo? I see a few screws but even loosened off the frame holding the glass doesn't move?
I can't wait to get it printed and installed so you can all see what the hard work you've done has achieved for me and my machine.

I've also got some pictures of the top glass and pay values if any use to anyone?
If the same can be done, what's been done to the belly glass art and then put into this site Resources?

I don't know this particular machine but if it's a "Money Honey" type the belly glass it is not easy to remove. The bent metal surround on the outside has to be removed very carefully.

To remove the belly glass there are four screws on the inside you need to remove. Then pull the belly glass and frame forward at the top and lift out of the bottom channel it sits in.Take off the three sided frame which surrounds the glass and lift out the glass. This is a five minute job on a clean machine but old machines often have the frame glued into the machine by spilt liquids and it takes a lot of persuasion to pull the top of the frame forwards!

The four screws are not at the edges--about a couple of inches in--one of them holds the choke lighting with a P clip...If you could post a photo it would help

Re: Bally Haunted Mansion (Photoshop or similar help )
There is a thread I posted years ago called "Opening Bally fruit machine lower light box"
Here is the relevant part of that thread:
Here is the relevant part of that thread:
Undo the four nuts that hold the payout mech to the case and remove it.
Release the payout switch unit and remove that., you remove the four nuts at the bottom inside of the case to release the chrome strip
AND 2 screws that also hold the light box. These are at the level of the top of the light box each side of the front inside.
Unplug the wires that supply power to the light box and it's then free.
Carefully remove the bent metal surround from the light box releasing the sticky tape used to attach it. This will almost certainly mean unfolding the metal strip, so do it with care.
Use a sharp knife to release the glue holding the glass in place and it will come away leaving some sticky on the glass protecting the transfer.
At this point you can replace the tube. A lot of work to get there but it looks so much better with the light box working.

I've got a hopper ?
Even though I have a hopper, are the same bolts/screws in place for me to remove?
All I have on the back of the door inside the machine is a 10 coin mech.

I've removed it now, thanks.
I've taken it to my printers - should be ready this week sometime.
I can't wait.
Regards and thanks all,
rich

Re: Bally Haunted Mansion (Photoshop or similar help )
Be sure to clean or re-paint that back plate inside the light box, the brighter the white the brighter the light from the tube. The Nevada I'm working on has the inside of the belly light box chromed, was very dirty, cleaned and polished it now the light is 5 times as bright.
Re: Bally Haunted Mansion (Photoshop or similar help )
Just picked it up and fitted it. I am happy. It looks a lot better than machine did previously...
I did notice the image now has small scan lines on it, I can live with it for now but in time may get it redone again.
I only gave a tenner to have the artwork printed and backed with new backing, so I am not going to grumble.
Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: Bally Haunted Mansion (Photoshop or similar help )
I see no one on the mecca can help, no surprise, but the decent and knowledgable guys on here sorted it. Just goes to prove, here is better. Thank you.
