The rex rotor now works a treat,2 of the caps round the motor have been replaced. So its safer and more reliable than it ever was,I have also put a lock on the back and made a coin box for it.So be warned,if you do not have modern trips fitted even though the fuses dont blow dont mean to say that appliances are safe. This machine was not safe and the chassis potentially live.I knew my rccb was telling me something so i had to sort it.I have many machines and non cause a problem, but this machine had a problem when i bought it.Old live 240 volt machines must be safe and earthed.Electrics trip for a reason, dont ignore it

It should also be noted that German equipment with a 3 wire cord from the 1950s and 60s, before the brown/blue/green-stripe standards, used RED AS THE EARTH WIRE. In Britain of course Red was Live, and a number of people paid for their ignorance the hard way.

I recently restored an Italian pinball that used the green/yellow wire as live!

And don't get me started on the Japanese.... They have a very sensible 110 volt domestic system, but in the west of the island it is 60 cycles and in the east of the island it is 50 cycles... :o
I seem to remember that they also had a strange way of generating and distributing the electricity, I can't remember the details but it caused end of problems when I had to design and build equipment for use out there..... :zapa:
