Aristocrat & Riviera

Post by nonrevs »

Has taken me a couple of months but finally got these three working, cleaned, wired and new locks - really pleased. Just waiting for a nice unit to tickle me to house them on (and strong enough to hold them).

Cheers, just on the lookout for a decent 'fitting' unit to put them on, some type of old industrial type unit. Keep checking ebay for something to pop up.

Not ideal having them on the floor, dogs seem to have a fetish for constantly licking them :-)

Have you considered making something yourself.? My Nephew has pachilsos (Japanese casino machines) which sit on top of some kitchen worktop fitted with nice chunky tubular chrome legs bolted to bottom. Each machine weighs about 45kg and he has three on each unit made, so pretty strong load bearing on them. Looks smart too. Being that kitchen worktop come with some pretty good laminates in all sorts of colours and patterns. You might be able to get some retro sixties/seventies feel to it, marble effect, say. malc

Good chrome of a Riviera hard to come by these days, so many appear to be stove enamelled in ugly grey or black.
