Mills gold award

Post by bandito »

Good morning, Would someone be kind enough to post some pictures of the linkages that make the gold award feature work on a mills mech please? My understanding is that the reel payout discs have a cut out in them which mine has, but that's about all I know. I am hoping to add this feature if it's not to complicated. Thanks !SMARTY!

Hope the below helps, happened to have a Gold Award mech lying around without fingers and slides so you can see the linkage. A word of warning though, not all these awards are exactly the same, some have higher bars and mount points.

If you have the Mills Pictorial Guide you can see the shape and size of the parts. If you need, I'll photocopy the pages and post them here.

The pictures in the book would be copyrighted and you may get told off if you post the pictures on here, but thanks for offering. I will buy myself that Mills guide book soon. I have the Jennings and Watling ones. They are good books.........!!CHEERS!!

There are dozens of photos from the book on this forum. It's no problem for me to post. The book IS great but getting more expensive every day.
