How fantastically outrageous, I want one! It will suit my own gargantuan proportions.

Also reminded me about how much a girl I once knew was looking forward to her first trip to London - then she found out "Big Ben" was a clock.........
In case you have to think about that one too much, it was the same girl who was equally disappointed when she queued 3 hours to see "Free Willy" - then she found out it was a film about whales.

Was that the same girl who was half way to Ireland before she found out a 14" Murphy was a TV?

I've never seen one of those over here.
Is that The Ruffler we all know, or just a coincidence?

I was in Cork, Ireland about 5 years ago. I was trying to buy some machines from a fairground man and he was trying to give me four of these for free. They were massive. I did not take them and got no machines from him. The day was a total loss.

Sounds like the start of a lyric
There was a man from Cork who tried to unload some &*%$......
In the US these would be standard fair in Casino, in fact they go even bigger.

I spent a lot of my childhood in Cork and first slot machine memories was on the travelling fairs and their slots I use to play. These were small affairs going around small towns and villages, but were popular as in 1971 there was little for kids to do in these places..

Oriental Gambler and Twin Dragon both had a pointless little pull handle on the side of the cabinet, nothing more than a microswitch start but it actually slowed up the game and irritated players.
