Machines at Cheddar Gorge
SMALL selection of penny slot machines are being operated at CHEDDAR GORGE this summer [ 7 in total ]. Have been told there could be more to follow later on.

Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
Are these at Cheddar Gorge or the nearby Wookey Hole? I believe the Wookey Hole had a larger selection of machines until a year or so ago and then (I think) they were put in storage or sold off. Is this the remains of the collection moved to the Gorge attraction and put on show?

These machines are wholly unrelated to Wookey Hole. It's a new venture at Cheddar Gorge. The owner/operator asked me to upload the pictures which he sent to me.

Like the trio of nice BMCo machines, interesting to note that two turn anti-clockwise for a win whereas one turns clockwise for a win.

Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
Do you have to pay to see the machines like at Wookey Hole? I went to Wookey Hole in March and it was open and a lot of machines to play on, a very large collection..... The paying bit is a bummer.
Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
Hey Guys, never ye fear. Wookey Hole is still there as are the many, many dozens of machines. We were there just a few weeks back and had a great time playing the machines. We did pay to see the Hole proper but you don't need to pay to see the slots. Just pop into the shop, head upstairs and lose yourself for a few hours. Pure joy!
I went to Cheddar Gorge a day or so later but didn't see any of those machines? Where are they situated?

Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
Are you sure you can just walk in to see the machines at Wookey Hole?? There's a big sign saying 'No Entry'. (I'm sure it's in the price of the caves). Is that why you're called Cheeky? lol
Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
Ha ha... no, that's my brother Sneaky! I didn't see the sign but we did pay as we wanted to see the Hole.

Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
As another operating season approaches the owner of the machines in the Crazy Golf attraction has added to his stock. He asked me to upload this photos showing some of the additional machines now on site. I believe the attraction is open weekends only until Easter when it will begin operating during weekdays too.
Re: Machines at Cheddar Gorge
Would love to visit these places, but most of the you have to pay to get in and, when only interested in the machines, there's not much point. I know the person who runs this and nice to see his hard work in restorations ending up on proper usable display.
