Re: British Stamp Vending Machines
Buying rolls of stamps for the stamp vender doesn't come cheap, a 1d vertical feed coil of stamps is about £200, and a 3d vertical feed coil of stamps is about the same, there is a complete coil of 3d stamps on Bay at the moment for £280.
I sold a similar looking stamp vendor that I renovated last year, it came complete with 2 correct stamp coils, I sold it for £800.

Re: British Stamp Vending Machines
The only information the vendor could find on the machine was this thread in which you posted the one with a £2668.97 price tag.
I replied:We can find no records anywhere of any sales of similar machines, except in your thread where there is mention of a machine like ours for sale in the USA for £2.5K. We were thinking of listing it on eBay with a starting price of £500.
Cliché rehash: "it's worth what somebody's prepared to pay for it; no more, no less."pennymachines wrote:I think the American sale price of £2.5K was very optimistic and I doubt it sold. I would think a starting price of £500 would be more realistic. It is very much a specialist item, so selling it for a high price will depend upon finding the particular collector or museum that wants it.

New addition to my stamp vending machines
Type M housing, that would have been attached to the side of Pillar boxes

Re: British Stamp Vending Machines
The picture of the pillar box with stamp vendor isn't mine sadly, just included it as reference for those who can't remember them
Re: British Stamp Vending Machines
I'm guessing it's a Scottish pillar box.
