BMCo Airplane ?

Post by alan57 »

Can anyone identify this BMCo allwin, I'm looking to add this to my collection, but never seen one like this before. Is it a genuine BMCo machine?

Looks fine to me, though that is a small photo to see detail. Don't think I've ever seen a faked BMCO before?

Yes, definitely an early BMCo. and a nice looking machine.
The only other example I could find on site was this playfield posted by Livinginthepast. Could it be the same one?
It would have originally had a marquee with the name of the game.
There's a similar game called (I think) Tip Top, with plain cups in place of the aircraft cups.

If anyone cares to trawl through the auction results in the Arena, we sold a similar machine at Coventry several years ago. It may be the same machine, although I don't recall the red spandrells (which may have been painted since - they should be polished aluminium).
Incidentally, it's not strictly speaking an allwin - more a sort of vertical bagatelle.

I trawled but only found "Silver Cups".
Yes, it was the red painted spandrels which led me to think the front might be the same machine Alan posted.

Ah yes, it was Silver cups I was thinking of. When I said 'similar', what I actually meant was 'completely different' :woops: .
That said, they are essentially the same machine, with exactly the same playfield layout and game-play.
