treefrog looking at some of your posts you must have a boatload of machines
It would need to be a container ship, as I think Tom keeps some in a container already.

Needless to say, it's not easy to photo that glass but here are a couple of attempts.

I have worked on the basis cheap ones with glass always come along. I have bought two cheap ones at £33 and £100 with glass but mech issues and poor or non existent cabinets. I recently bought a cracking one missing its glass, voila you suddenly have one good one with glass....not something your likely to get hold of in Canada of course..

One with glass and cabinet I think sold for £100 at the last Coventry auction, I tried to bid on it, but the auctioneer I think saw through me eyeing up a nice pint of London Pride

Yours seems to be the standard format, with no piping around the edges. The cabinets on the other two are also different from each other.

In case you haven't found it, there are several posts on this Danish blog about restoring the Rotomat Jewel.

Thank you treefrog and pennymachines for your posts.

I am waiting for copies of the instruction cards and maybe the duo / mat graphics.

What does it say on the little ribbon sticker on the left (our right) of the bottom of the circle?

"Oben Angezeigter Betrag" - literally, "Above Amount Displayed", i.e. when the ball stops over the green section, the machine pays the amount indicated by the arrow.
That mirror paint looks like it could work for this job. Not an easy task though... The 'yellow' stripes etc. are a sort of matt gold.

Thank you for the reply pennymachines.

Having a closeup look what I was asking was for the writing on the arrow.
I thought it was a ribbon and didn't realize it was an arrow till I got a closer look.

On the originals: "Geldeinwurf" (Coin). On the example above, "Insert Coin Here".

Nearly £860 and over £1 per play.
If it was on Loonies instead of Toonies then that would befit the buyer.

It will end up in someone's man cave and used to empty their pockets of toonies periodically.

Then they will have other things for other coins.

Once a year or so empty them and go on vacation.

liquorbox - a 'straight-on' view of the Duo Mat, hope this helps with any artwork.

Arrgee I've been playing with the picture you posted to do graphics on the duomat.
I should be able to get this printed on a chrome or mirror vinyl.
The white areas would be transparent so no ink and be mirrored.
Stick it right on the glass and leave it as it is or add a second glass over it to protect it and give it depth.

The only other possibility I can think of (but not sure it would work) would be to invert the image and print it on the non-adhesive side of clear adhesive vinyl, then overspray the rear printed image with your mirror paint. This of course would then stick behind the glass. The question would be whether the mirror paint would react with/dissolve your printed image (I suspect it would). Might be worth experimenting though...

See Artwork for machine glasses for sticking vinyl to glass. Best not attempted without soap and water (as I discovered).

Nice job there "lick-her what!? :o
I too have been thinking about reproducing a cheap yet acceptable reproduction for The Duo Mat.

Your suggestion is the line I'd gone down.

As you say Mr P. you would need to use the transparent printable vinyl ,but the problem with the transparent is it lacks depth, I have painted the rear of it with a base white in the areas to highlight and that does work and the white paint does not effect the print but there is a big difference between matt white and mirror paint of course. There is a spray available from some of the creative paper suppliers to fix printed vinyl, this is available in gloss or matt and simply lays a protective coating over the printed area, that should protect the print.

The problem with the first option, printing on chrome or mirrored vinyl is that yes the mirrored areas would show a good mirror effect but so would the two circles ,these would need to be cut out after the print was attached,do able but not easy

If the white areas are transparent, what about backing with a mirror plastic sheet, easily available, or even using a thin mirror plate as the backing glass, with laminate clear glass on the front

the white parts are only transparent if you print on the transparent vinyl which would give you lack of depth problem otherwise the white parts are the colour of the type of vinyl you print on, If the mirrored vinyl works well as a mirror and you can cut out the circles after attaching I think option one is the best but it will cost unless you know someone with the right sized printer and it will not be easy to attach correctly, good fun to try though, some small tests essential first I think

pennymachines yes I've looked at that post and this would be an option I'd descuss with the printer.
I tried to size the image to fit the glass so you have a starting edge or even two if you start in the corner.
I'm shire this could also be setup that the backing paper is split right down the middle from top to bottom allowing easier lineup of the gameplay circles when puting it on.
Any decent vinyl print machine should be able to cut the circles in the vinyl.
