Gunther Wulff Elektromat
Thought I would add the recent Gunther Wulff electro machine the Elektromat that sat on eBay for a week. I see there are a few videos from Germany of them operating and as per previous posts on the site are a favoured machine by a few here. Never seen one before and like many was tempted, but £550 is still in my pocket
Was a close call though as it looked a good game play, even if a little scary on the electric front.....when will we see another?

Looks pretty basic, electrically.
Is it actually a gambler? I had dismissed it as a fortune-teller, and didn't bid.

If it had been around £375 then I'd have probably gone for it.

In typical Wulff style he made 4 machines in this style using the same electrics, different glass, 3 in 1952, the Revue (above) which is perhaps the best glass,

I would have jumped at it (if I hadn't already got one). I think they're great and unlike many electro-mechanicals, not too complicated. Part of the charm which you can't really see in the video - as the timer counts down each light-up disk reveals a different bathing beauty.

What dictates a winner? Is it just a random stop?

Re: Gunther Wulff Elektromat
It pays out when you get both discs lodged over the contacts at the bottom of the pin-field. The sooner you achieve this, the more you win, because the payout then fires as each window lights up. As far as 'skill' goes, it's just a matter of shooting the discs back up over the pins as quickly as possible.
Re: Gunther Wulff Elektromat
I noticed on German models there appears also to be what looks like a token chute at the bottom, is this what it is and do they exist on U.K. machines and what triggers them?

Re: Gunther Wulff Elektromat
That's always been a mystery to me, because there doesn't seem to be any means of feeding tokens into the channel. I wonder if it's a remnant of a design plan which was abandoned early on.

Re: Gunther Wulff Elektromat
No I can see that below, there is also one on YouTube with tokens I think
