Knowledgeable antique dealers

Post by treefrog »

Over the years, often as you probably all come across antique dealers who have no idea what they are selling when getting hold of a vintage slot and seem to make it up to bump their sale on the unwary. On occasion I have attempted to point out the error of their ways, but hit a brick wall......maybe this thread can become the hall of shame of said sellers.....

Just seen the one below....

https://countryhomesantiques.co.uk/prod ... rm-bandit/

A rare 1912 Chicago bandit, only 12 known, yours for £4500 !OMFG!

More like a chopped up late twenties Mills FOK four column vendor with a jackpot rammed in and missing future pay, vendor parts and strange butchered skill stops holes in the wrong place... :tut

That is the worst Jackpot conversion I have ever seen.
