Hi all.
Dropped on a Jubilee international the other day and a Rivera OXO on new 10p for two goes with a £4.00 Jackpot. The problem is the guy who had it before cracked it so it’s missing the top Jackpot award, is it possible to get one??

The International is set on 1p play, would it be possible to convert it to sixpence?
Also the pin on the top slide that locks the jackpot flap is worn & loose so it isn’t locking the flaps once paid out...
Is it possible to repair or has anyone got a spare kicking around??
Also the front is a Perspex type material and not glass, is this the norm or has it been replaced??

Both my Internationals have perspex, not glass. When I bought them, they were on New Penny, and were 'Rainbow Falls' and something that looked like ' Gg-Go-g-goGO-go-G-gg-'.
I obtained a reel bundle and artwork for a game with beer glasses jackpot, and another for Tic Tac Toe. Both these were also perspex.
One is now on 6d, the other two pulls 1/-.
Your OXO sounds like a Powell's Automatics conversion. Take a look at the giant slide for the £4 payout.
That's what I call engineering.
Powell's have been converting these back lately, so I would think that used artwork is likely to be available.

Can anyone recommend a good reel strip cleaner to get whites back to white on OXO machines??

it does work AND often adds a a unique "Nicotine" flavour to the bread

spray glass cleaner also works well...but not on the bread

No lighting in machine, can anyone recommend the best way forward??
1. Source original lighting from somebody that’s got one spare and re-fit to machine.
2. Fit energy saving modern lights..

Suspect this has to be your preference. Original lighting does come up occasionally, there was loads at the Derby sale, but obviously will be old and need to be properly checked. Some people prefer the way the world has gone with led either strips or bulbs....lower voltage and even colour changes etc. Your choice I suspect, personally I have always like fluorescent tube lighting with the flicker and hum, but most will prefer modern choice and safety...

IF you consider it to be a 'collectors item', then it needs to be fitted with the original type of lighting. If it's just an old bandit you like playing, then anything will do.
Some people use battery-operated LEDs on sticky pads. Does the job, and no technical skill required.
The only instance where I've used LED bulbs as a substitute for incandescent, is in the case of fragile back-printed glass artwork. I feel that preserving the glass is more important than allowing further deterioration due to excess heat.
In all cases, retain any existing parts. It may well become a future classic, and someone will want to restore it as such.

Makes sense when mentioned if not an A1 collectors machine there’s no point throwing money at it....
like the idea of coloured lighting for a nice effect.
Didn’t somebody on here put coloured led’s in a machine?

I have a pusher with remote controlled colour changing lights and multi choice on effects. Looks great.....the only comment I would make on LEDs, a lot of the crap sold on eBay are often cheap nasty and not very bright from some I have bought. Maybe someone can recommend a good system rather than the random choice available

Any recommendations would be appreciated.
