What's the worst machine you ever had?
I bought and still have a Mills Extraordinary that should be superb. When I got it it looked wonderful....... the escalator had been buggered around with and I decided to fit an appropriate jackpot, that was all! ............ HAH!! 
Several years on and it just gets worse and worse, no matter what I do to it, it's always one step forward then two back
Everything worked for one pull of the handle, and since then: -
The clock stripped its gears
The reels slowed
The escalator jams the whole mech
The jackpot won't release
The payout slides have a mind of their own
The vertical fingers no longer line up, and even if they do, they don't penetrate
The reels brake in 2-1-3 sequence
It is currently in its component parts and scattered to every corner of the shed, so far as I'm concerned it can stay that way.
What's your worst horror story?
