Non-Video Poker

Post by operator bell »

I've been working on a little project here at (Operator) Bell Labs. Let me try out this new-fangled video thingie to show you, if I can work out how to embed it. Excuse me a moment while I review Mr PennyMachine's instructions... Ah, got it.

It's a bit off-topic for this forum, being only partly mechanical and not needing pennies, but it is delightfully retro, and appropriate for the "Build a Slot Machine" category. It's a non-video poker machine. I'm running it off a controller board at the back that I made for something else and modified for this job. It's actually quite easy to run these card decks, it's just a matter of counting out pulses to make them run to the card you want. The control program is a basic slot machine sequencer I've used for several different projects, modified to drive these decks and evaluate poker hands. I can go into more details if anyone wants to know.
