I need help to specify construction

Post by badpenny »

Hi all, I was idling searching ebay Asia when I suddenly became fascinated with Rolex watches.
Do can anyone supply me with the exact specifications for building these only for my interest.
I must to know how the ticking of the hands do make the sun go down at same time every each day ?
Why window with number of day know to alter calender on my kitchen wall ?
I wait for someonebody to spend hours writing careful exactness before I reply and with other kestion ask why second hand is actually third hand.

Oh please, let me help. Post a picture with a complicated mechanism and put lots of numbers on it. When I reply, please try and think of many, many other questions too.

Yes, can definitely help you; just put some numbers on and I'll get right back to you. Again, I always prefer that this will lead to lots more questions. Once I've finished with advice on the Rolex we will have a watch so that I can see how much time I spend giving all this advice! :?

If you look closely you'll notice that I did put numbers on but they kind of got lost in the resizing of the image... they go up to about 800 I think so shouldn't be too much of a challenge for you! :D

Okay, see the numbers now. Shame that they only go up to 800; 801 is the crucial part, you'll never get it working.

Best advice I can give is to go onto a pinball website and ask if anyone tell you how build one from scratch

I for one have been entertained and educated by Coin-op's valiant attempt to put into words and numbers the inner workings of an allwin. It hadn't occurred to me how complicated it would be to describe the interlinked parts and sequence of events. I guess this is one reason the patents run to so many pages.

I hope at some stage to put together an interactive animated Flash diagram of a transparent allwin, but in the meantime I'm mystified by the sudden surge of interest from our friends in the Middle East and beyond in the precise specifications of the allwin mechanism. :?: :?: :?:

Call me a cynical and suspicious old sod, but I strongly suspect the appeal of attracting a sum of money equivalent to 3 months salary for a graduate working in a call centre in exchnage for knocking up a wooden box containing a few bits of tin and a ball bearing, might have something to do with it.

Incidently the control rod from the reactor on mine goes direct to the back pedalling mudguards!

Post by fingermouse79 »

HI, i have read with interest the replies to questions on making your own machines. I note most state that no plans or drawings were available. I was wondering, how then did the current reporduction machines get made???

i wonder if anyone has contacts to provide detailed plans through this source??
