Maybe these 5/8" Alumina Ceramic ball bearings would work, at £18 a pop.

I have used Delrin balls before for a large floor standing Darts game, which uses large balls and pings around great. I also used them on a Handan Ni 4 ball machine and the problem on this machine, they seemed too light and bounced around a lot, I thought they would have more weight to them, but Delrin is quite lights also expensive...rivierakid wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 10:38 am Thanks for the reply. Have decided to try balls made from Delrin which appears to be the material used for casino grade roulette balls. Fingers crossed they work, will let you know how I get on in case others are looking for an alternative to steel balls for older machines
Can you please explain the specifics of the game play?treefrog wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2014 5:42 pmVery unusual play with a flap at the top to allow the ball into the top loop controlled by the ball release. The balls were hidden in the double token vendors, so I was able to test the play. Shame I never took any pictures as the mechanism had an unusual chain driven feature for the flap and ball release.....only things missing were the key and top gallery. Even had the original cash tray...
No, but as composite balls seem impossible to find, I thought ceramic might be a decent substitute for appearance and weight. But maybe too heavy.
Insert a penny to release (several) balls. Turn the handle on the left to feed the first ball to the hammer. Shoot the ball and it spirals to the upper gallery (like a normal allwin). If it misses the gallery, it's returned via the left hand ball exit hole to the hammer for another shot. If it lands in a red pocket, the gate to the left of the lower gallery closes and the ball is returned via the left hand exit hole to the hammer. The next shot will be played on the lower gallery. A ball landing in the silver or gold pockets on the lower gallery delivers a token by turning the handle. This handle also reopens the track gate, so when a new ball is brought into play it always goes to the top gallery.
