Watling Rol a Top on thiefbay
Watling Rol a top on ebay 110520549181, the seller has advised that it is a copy, in case anyone was bidding thinking otherwise, & yes he is 'selling for a friend' & didn't add the message to his advert.!
Dear raj,
hello
the machine comes with about 100 25c's
it comes with the
keys
it doesn't have a double winning jack pot apparently only the
orginal watlings have this
this machine is a repordution and the inside
is original based on a aristocrate 1930's machine .
the casing is
new.
many thanks

Re: Watling Rol a Top on thiefbay
hi , just seen a seller on ebay with four yellow coloured reproduction roll a tops ' he says there mechanical but have a electronic cpu and all that ' does anyone have a picture of an inside of one ?? or explain how basically they work as it does not seem the same as the other roll a top that was on ebay the other week which was all mechanical reproduction ?? getting confused now how many types are there !!
Re: Watling Rol a Top on thiefbay
This is just a modern arcade machine, probably with synthetic mechanical sounds. Of course it has mechanical elements - the reels go round and the handle moves, but is not like the type mentioned above. The mechanical repros usually use Aristocrat or Jubilee mechanics as above.

Re: Watling Rol a Top on thiefbay
This Week's Grand Prize Quiz ...............
When does : -
XXXXXXX XXX X XXX REPLICA
MADE USING ORIGINAL CASTINGS THIS MACHINE IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL MACHINE.
Actually mean that: -
Unlike the real thing which is completely mechanical this USES BARCREST MPU4 TECHNOLOGY, has an electric lead and what looks like a handle off a Bally?
No wonder foreigners find English so difficult to learn!!!
For those not wishing to enter the quiz and only to play for fun go to I say one thing but mean the opposite
Those wishing to enter the quiz send your answer to me on the back of a used five pound note (Which of course means- Don't bother writing to me as I don't want to hear from you, spend your fiver at the chip shop)

You seem to know a great deal about it. You wouldn't, um, have some, you know, interest to tell us about?yes it is same manufacturer,

We do tend to be somewhat biased on this board towards real, genuine authenticity, so when we see the term used inappropriately it's only to be expected there will be adverse comments. On the other hand, making a good simulation could be something to be proud of in its own right, if it were described as such.
