The Greyhound Racer

Post by Yorkshire Pudding »

Regarding the Greyhound Racer just sold on ebay (Item no: 6243511953). Just curious but was anybody else surprised that this machine sold for over £4.5K or is this a fairly reasonable price?

I thought 2k would have been enough for this. I noticed it was the U.S and Canadian bidders who were the strong bidders. It's hard for us Brits to compete in a global market  There seems to be an increase in stuff going across the pond.

Absentee bids were not impossible as Steve bought a fair few machines including (apparently) the Greyhound Racer for £1700 on behalf of an absentee bidder 'TW'. So someone must have sent him a fair bit of cash to hold in anticipation of the auction.
