Forthcoming Auction

Post by cheeky »

I recently received a flyer from Steve Hunt advertising his forthcoming auction. It refers the reader to his website which was due to be up and running by the time the flyer was received.

To date the Website is still not up-and-running. Is the auction actually going ahead? Are there any readers here that have submitted machines?

I see that Steve's web site is finally showing some signs of life! There is an on-line entries form and a promise of a listing of entries to follow.

I suspect the Bryans Bumper alone will be enough to persuade many to make the trip!

Wow. Looks like it will be a great auction but I will have to wait for the next one as it has taken soooooooooo long to get the listings out.

Cash Auction

Post by woody »

In light of the recent high-profile robbery, it might be a bit awkward for Steve to start banking large sums of cash after the Auction. Would be good to see a picture of the bumper as other forum members have suggested. I suppose we will have to wait and see - if it hasn't been widely advertised there might well be a few cheap deals to be had. Be interesting to see how much turns up on ebay a few days later.... Good Luck to everyone who is going.

Bryans Bumper

Post by cheeky »

It would be great to see some photos of the Bumper. My wife has just had an op and I wasn't able to make the journey but any photos taken would be appreciated. Can anyone help?

No Bumper? Thank cripes I didn't go, that would have been the only reason I'd have made the six hour round trip. I'd have been fuming!

Bad news. But what about the rest of the sale? Were then many people there?

I think this picture sums up the day very depressing but at least we can go home maybe never to return.
To live on this rusting wreck of a pier must be like living on Alcatraz.
I can't get my picture to load it seems to be invisible but maybe you can see it!

Can anyone tell me what the Grand National was like & how much it went for?

Also, webmaster, are you going to put up a list of sale prices in the Arena?

TIA

Here you go Keith - here's a pic. I don't know the price, I couldn't work out who was bidding. I had totally lost interest by this time. I was tired, cold, hungry in need of medication miles from home, fed-up, doshed-up, nothing I wanted to buy. Some machines didn't even turn up. Still, always another day, another venue. Cheap day out - £90 in fuel. Nice to see some of the old faces again even if they were moaning.
