Looks great,

Any reason the link to the auction has disappeared from the top of the site next to the link to the market?

The short version - I had to remove it due to "technical problems".
The long version - a). I've yet to code it correctly to pick up the auction images, and b). My host threatened to shut down the site because I overstepped my CPU usage by 0.06 %. I suspect this was caused by the Auction/Market slideshows constantly accessing data. I think the Auction/Market data needs to be on cached pages to get around this...

Just got back from picking up the Adretta I won on the Pennymachines Auction, adding even more 'to do' time to the already sizeable list. !!SUICIDAL!! Spent hours chatting and looking over some real gems from PM's Aladdin's Cave. Thank you very much PM, just hope I didn't outstay my welcome. It really is an absorbing hobby. !!CHEERS!!

Hi Dave - no slot enthusiast has managed to outstay their welcome yet! It was great to meet you and I'm glad to hear that, after the extraction of a few priceless Bun pennies from the hopper, it's already 100% working.
For the record, Dave paid £205 for the Adretta.
The Jukebox Slot Machine & Pinball book sold for a bargain £2.75.

I have just returned home having collected from Mr Pennymachines the multiball Allwin and the Morlacchi Collection book that I won in the PM auction. Quite a long round trip but, my word, was it worth it!

My grateful thanks to PennyMachines and his family for making me, my wife and, most particularly, my granddaughter so welcome. My humble apologies if we outstayed our welcome, but time just flew past as I was introduced to machines that I had no idea even existed and I was able to wonder at those minds of a century ago that dreamed up such mechanisms. Truly a fantastic day out. You should sell tickets, PM.

Sadly, however, I have also come to realise that this hobby has a long way to take me yet. For a start, I am going to need a bigger house.....

It was a pleasure to meet your family, youngerap and nice doing business with you. The best part about collecting these marvellous devices is sharing their delights with others. Your welcome was certainly not outstayed. I just wish more of my machines were restored and playable. Currently they may be more of a caution than an inspiration. :-(

Interesting sound proofing, or is it an environmental trick to keep the heat in.

Looking damn good there coppinpr.

Certainly on my wish list.
I've only seen one tatty example in the flesh and not so fine as yours (still referring to The Little Duke before anyone thinks otherwise)

I once read that due to its size and weight you need to steady them with your hand otherwise they move as you pull the handle.
Is that true?
I also heard they were shipped here as new crated for 10/- ??????

I shall watch with interest and cry with unrequited lust.

No not true really, the handle is more of a downward movment than a normal pull so its quite stable.
I doubt they came for 10/-, even at the value of 10/- at the time it would have made then the bargain of the year and a must have, with a profit margin of only 15% and a play of 1d you would have been in profit after only about 720 games (£3)
