Great reporting BP. My biggest surprise was not the prices, which were about as I guessed, but the size of the Handan-Ni! I had sort of assumed it was counter-top size or 1930s Genco pinball, not a floor-standing arcade piece.
No substitute for actually going and looking. Well done BP and all reporters.

Just stumbled upon this auction report in the Grimsby Telegraph from last year: £10k shock as vintage arcade machines are sold off.

Well 5 years later and the buyer of the Big Six has stuck it on eBay after restoration.

It certainly looks different and I can see Henry Powell has made a good job. I am not so certain on the 30 grand asking price though    ......hey ho, O what fun.....

I was thinking the same thing TF. Anyone out there who knows?

The coin head appears untouched and too small for a penny. And the way it was last operated it has only one payout on the glass that states 5 Shilling = 60 Pennies! It could not pay that many pennies and especially not into that little coin bowl. Most likely it's a Quarter machine that was operated in the UK on 1 Shilling coinage which meant negligible conversion.

That makes sense. Thank you.
