This is on eBay and it's mine
Am not trying to to sell it here mods
It will sell on there,,but what am after is
The last one that sold was in the Coventry auction 2010
Think it may have been Harold's R I P ,,is the buyer of this
On here as I need a picture or info on the inside
As there is no key with mine and it's locked

I am considering pulling the back off
But wanted to know if any off the mechanism
Was connected to the back, don't want to damage it,,
Or anyone got a picture of the inside from the auction
Cheers
Bob

Not the one from the auction, but I have a couple of these and can confirm that nothing is attached to the back board.

They're amazingly complicated for a simple target game that scores but doesn't pay out. Having spent many hours tracing faults and replacing burnt out components, I would say these are not for the faint-hearted. I've yet to get either of them working properly but hopefully one day... That's not to say I wouldn't bid on another one. !?!

I'm sure we've had a total of three go through Coventry, two next to each other the first time.

I think they're superb, but like Mr P says tricky little devils to keep happy.

I'll have one some day, who knows maybe soon?

Hi,

just an additional comment....

the Diana was build by
IMO - AUTOMATEN FABRIK in the year 1957
The interesting point here is that this company was owned by Helmuth Jentsch, who was
the Son of the legendary Max Jentzsch from Jentzsch und Meerz.
attached a copy from an original ad, and a link to a very usefull docu (german)

Wow! That’s an interesting looking machine.
I managed to translate the Jentzsc Diana paper (above) with 'Translate with Live Search'. It makes very interesting reading and there is a good video of it working.

Very interesting Marco and great video. So I wonder whether Mr Jentzsch senior of Jentzsch und Meerz had an input on the original running hare machine? and whether the Diana was an electro reincarnation inspired by the original running hare.

A wall mounted shooter - I want one, not that I have any wall space.

Hi

as far as I know - the "Running Hare" was build by Jentzsch&Meerz,
in germany it was called "Hubertus" , there where two different versions one
with payout for Token, and one with payout in cash.
And indeed the basics are really equally.

Running Hares were also made in Britain and France but I think Jentzsch & Meerz invented the game. They completely redesigned it in the 1920s, mounting all of the mechanism onto the front door and replacing the single hare with a bugler, jockey, hound and fox. They also made a very different wall-mounted shooter called Argus which shot ball bearings from a side-mounted pistol.

See also Michael Aspell - not his own Hare

A few nice lots went on sale in Switzerland yesterday, which most of you will have seen. German Diana which sold for £1175 including commission. The other two items a French crane and another shooter did not sell.

The other wall mounted shooter I have not seen a Brutus, looks complicated inside and could not immediately find anything on the net about it.....prefer the looks of the Diana, but I am biased of course

These items have been appearing on invaluable.com for years, presumably because they never make their high reserves. A new record for the Diana I believe.
