Guess what this is from auctioneer's description

Post by daveslot »

"An unusual crossbanded mahogany and cast metal coin-driven carousel trip selection machine, unsigned, early 20th century, the top with cast metal five division coin slot incorporating panel inscribed PREMIER."
On the plus side, it's a conversion I have not seen before.
I will post a pic if anybody wants the answer.

As Dave has chosen to advertise it, can we extend the competition to guessing what it will sell for on the 17th?
My guess £480.

Must have been what the machine landed on, shame there wasn't an entry on the wheel for Pennymachines-shire.

OK Jimmy, don't know if you won the machine but you won the competition. Transpose the first two digits and you were spot on! Sold for £650. As you say, prices a bit high of late.

Here's another round-up of recent saleroom results.

Thanks for the compilation, Mr. PM. It looks like wall games are on the upswing again. Yoohoo! Maybe I can retire after all.

Wait…I'm already retired.

It is certainly true most auctions are getting high prices, but occasionally ones do get by, tonight a nice looking quick returns sold for £500 including commission.....Also there was a Pin Up Girl last weekend, but I missed getting a picture of it, which I think went for around £380 including commission.

Wondering whether to go to the Elephant this weekend as not so many machines this time, most of them are already advertised on this site.

Well the same said machine is back in the same auction......with commission the machine went for over £800, I wonder what it will fetch this time...Always worries me when the same item is re-listed in an auction, tends to indicate issues somewhere..
