Nice looking allwin just sold at auction today

Post by coppinpr »

This nice looking Allwin Deluxe sold today (9th March) at Eastbourne auctions for £560. Described as restored 50 years ago and not used since :!?!: Clearly still has the ball reserve feature still working.

Plus 18% if you were there.

However it does look nice, and I don't think I've ever seen more than a handful still with the reserve mechanism.
Fifty years ago would take it to just before decimalisation, so maybe at the point of the removal of the real money in 1971 somebody picked it up for buttons and turned it into a Showroom Queen.

If so, nice return.

Very nice looking reserve, pity about the ugly metal lock keep.

Yep, it was in at a really low advert price. I was the under bidder. It does look a nice machine.
