Bryans Magic Machine on Flog It

Post by arrgee »

Saw this recently whilst recovering from 8 days in hospital following a misbehaving gall bladder (amazing what you will watch when not too well). The programme was 'Flog It' and the machine (which I think is the magic string cutter) was only on screen for a short while in the background. The auction house was Jefferys in Lostwithiel, Cornwall. I have looked on their website for past results and was not able to find whether it was sold - anyone know anything about this one?

You're braver than I am publicly admitting what you watch on TV.
The same time that was being broadcast I was watching "Wobbly Jugs in The Pottery".

However, a friend of mine did see that programme and did a spot of delving which unearthed that there were two Bryans Magic Machines in that auction. The one you saw and a Disappearing Disc as well.
Apparently they went for £2850 for the two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly we don't have an emoticon showing an elderly bearded collector leaping around on one foot spitting obscenities and punching the curtains.

Never mind, "Polish Your Plums in Your Shed" is starting soon.

The same buyer who bought the 2
Was not present at the auction
He was a phone bidder
I tracked these after I seen it
And it's on line about them :#:

Jimmy, They keep repeating this show, watched it a couple of weeks ago.......also was discussed here two years ago.* There was a pair of magic machines that went fairly cheap, if you're into these.... I am going to be a bit of a heathen and say they have never interested me, bit like working models.... I remember them coming up for sale, but had no interest.
