Can’t find this on eBay, what is the description. I’ve seen some botched machines but this is unreal.

Conversions of old Mills, Pace and Jennings machines to UK spec, often have the number reels. Companies like Samson’s did this, as to why either I have forgotten or don’t know, but thought sure this has been discussed in the past.

Also I have seen many British made castings of this fish mouth machines as suspect they were not common in the states. Firmans were well known for this and using these strips. Yes surprised this has got the £500 starting price, but machines are getting high numbers at the moment. I haven’t bought any for ages as always out priced. Went to a local auction during the week for a Space Flight below, which made over £500, people bidding blind online, hope they were happy with it ;-)

Mills used fish mouth on some of its 50 cent machines. I use saleroom to bid via internet but have to reign myself in when you add 28% commission then add delivery costs.
When I am outbid I sometimes wonder if the other bidders have calculated what they will actually pay. !!UHOH!!

It's still there for sale with three bids....

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mills-Novelt ... 1438.l2649

I have loads of dagger handles and may sell a few more in the near future of all three types for Mills machines.

Not sure the mech in this originated from this machine and it looks a later Mills variant.

The mech looks absolutely battered, there are chunks missing off the stop buttons on the front and i am trying not to look at that handle SkEpTiCaL , I wonder if the gold award mech is present ? However the back door and keys look right.
