New twist on an ebay ad

Post by coppinpr »

This machine has since been removed by ebay (does the fact that so many machines have been removed in the last week mean we are about to hear of the next EH auction? but I digress)
The description of this machine was as follows:

Aristocrat Sheerline running on 6d, Mills mech, item may differ from the one photographed, £700 ??

Not sure if the new twist pertains to the Mills mech statement or 'item may differ' statement.
I don't remember seeing the ad, however the 'item may differ' statement may just be the seller using an old listing template and not realising the disclaimer's still in the copy from a previous item listed?
However, I did see a Sega Light up with an Aristocrat mech inside recently. Hadn't come across that particular hybrid previously...

I am 99.8% certain it was the machine below on sale last month up north had tried to flog it for a while and offered it to me for £180, but I didn’t want with condition and location. This is on Facebook, schpok and eBay again, stupid money, but there you go......there are a lot of stupid money offers at the moment.....reality will kick in again soon. |/XX\| probably see the other style machine on eBay last week that was in bits on eBay for £900 soon....

Agree with what you say on prices. There was a beromat for sale on eBay recently. Listed for £399 or best offer. It didn’t sell. Just been relisted for £455 !

I'm wondering if some of these prices (not the stupid King price) are just a ploy. They are often attached to items on "make an offer". Seller actually wants £250 or more, puts it on for £400, someone makes a low(?) offer of £260, seller accepts it, seller gets what we wants, buyer either thinks he's got it at the right price or that he got a bargain! :!?!:

In dutchyland was this one for sale at an auction online and i was watching it before auction. Estimate was €70-90 and it wend for €425! Ex 28 pct costs. Later on the day it came on the marketplace with an asking price of only €850 !OMFG! By the way, the buyer even don’t have the machine yet. Pick up today at the auction house after 13:00 h. :D
