Re: Las Vegas bandit
I just found an old piece of aluminium at my work and remembered my machine needed the window surround. It’s a bit rough yet but looks much better for the moment till I will find an original.
Lately there were not so many posts over here, so I think I need to contribute.
Greetings.

Yes very good Dutchboy, I would not have know.
Yes very quiet on the site and have laid low myself for a while. I have been busy though and restored two Aristocrats and now working on a pile of Beromat type machines I took apart years ago and trying to piece together.....
Also been finally learning Paint Shop Pro after buying a few years back and finding it too complicated.....think I have now worked out enough to do some artwork myself at last...

After
Maybe everyone else is busy on machines or just can’t be bothered anymore..

Very nice done on the strips treefrog. I have to say I don’t even have a desktop these days.
So I am not the only one who takes a machine apart and leave it for a very long time . I only have to paint my Mills open front and make two coin tubes. Maybe in spring the time will be right.

Re: Las Vegas bandit
Your machine looks very much like a "Mad Money" by Sega. Most of them were red and black. The top box is missing. Good luck with your restoration.dutchboy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 5:20 pm I just found an old piece of aluminium at my work and remembered my machine needed the window surround. Re: Las Vegas bandit
I think the machine is a clone not a Sega so the "las Vegas" logo is most likley original

Re: Las Vegas bandit
Is the dog piece upside down? Either it is or mine is! I thought the longest part was at the bottom.
Re: Las Vegas bandit
Coppinpr and badpenny are right. Chris rideout, there would have bin a topbox from origin but I like the machines more without it. Am I the only one? On German ebay there is a case without the jackpot and escalator but with the two parts I need. But 200 euros ex. shipping is a bit too much.
When everything comes together well I will attend the auction in Coventry. It will be a one day trip.

Re: Las Vegas bandit
Today i did take the slides out of the machine to clean them. And by surprise i met old friends.... spacers! They are carefully solderd are the hole for the coins and even on the posts. I think the slides were ment to be for different pay outs.
Re: Las Vegas bandit
I wonder if this is more a problem for machines bought on a non local coinage as people want to use a local one. Although a lot of messing goes on here as well. I commonly come across people using things like washers at the top or bottom of slide posts because they are not matched to slides.
It looks like you have correct number of slides, but if you stack 20 6D coins in them do they fill the modified slides as these coins are quit thin

Re: Las Vegas bandit
Hi treefrog, yes they work exactly with the number of coins. It looks like every machine has it own surprise .
