Do you have a list of any prices reached?

I wrote a few notable ones down... and managed to leave the bit of paper behind... :dammit:

From memory the Bryan's Rockets got up to 2600 or so, the Forks to 1825, Six-o-more 1150, Mutoscope was over 3k.

And most notably a streamline Elevenses went for I think 1600! !OMFG!

Think I might be waiting a while to do any more buying.

P.S Oh and if the person who bought the Bryan's Allwin original labels is reading this and wants to sell just one of the longer Elevenses lower labels that sits below the gallery (that says Elevenses) - I'd be interested. I wasn't interested in buying ten of them. :HaHa:

Have a feeling they were around the 700-800 mark but I'd hate to be wrong so best to wait for confirmation from someone else. Both were nice machines and with a catcher being a style missing from my collection (of two machines, lol) I was sorely tempted by one of them.

Well as no one else has bothered, want to thank again the Jā€™s for organising the event. Very relaxed without a crush or crushed toe......

As seems to have been advised, overall it seemed there was a demand for machines, some which were way above what you would expect for the item, whereas there are always hidden bargains. I think the Fireworks and Brenner machines were very cheap for what they are and someone should be pleased as the Fireworks was working. Less bandits there and a few bargains, but surprises as well.....never understood what people see in QTs which sold high for some reason....

I sold all 7 lots I put in, had sensible reserves, of which two were cheap and only just reached their reserve, but some of the others went for way more than I expected, so overall happy....

I hear there may be one in the spring, which is good.

Hopefully the small or large faux pas with with table and a French allwin got sorted. !OMFG!

By the way Radiochrissie, I went up to 4 men with grey hair, glasses and fleece who all thought I was a pervert trying to identify you.....so now have a worse reputation.

A great auction. Jerry and the guys are friendly and very efficient. I was selling on the day so have to wait for the buyers to pay in. I was still out around 4 ish and hitting the road. The pay in went down fast. !THUMBS!

The auctioneer is brilliant seems to get better every year. I'm not sure if it's his day job. But it should be. He kept the momentum going nice and steady through the lots.

If you have never been. Make it your plans for next year. All apart from i think 2 machines sold. No crazy reserves which mean machines change hands. All my 10 lots sold and I came home with zero machines. Which is a first for me.

Prices in general where what you would have expected. A few bargains. And a few higher then the normal.

Hopefully there will be a auction before November as the demand is out there.

Big well done to Jerry and Co. !!THUMBSX2!!

As always, thanks to everyone for your support - buyers for buying and sellers for giving us the stuff to sell. Prices seemed to be on the high side overall, with a couple of machines going through the roof - we usually break a record or two and this year will definitely be no exception. But as you say Tom, there were a few bargains too - I agree, both the Fireworks and the Ball Past the Arrow seemed to go cheaply. But hey, that's the nature of auctions. Most importantly, from the feedback I've had, everyone appears to have had a great day - and that's always the plan! It's why we run these events.
And a spring auction? Well, we're asked this every year - everyone wants to come and buy machines. Unfortunately, we do have a relatively small number of regular vendors, who never let us down, but by the same token don't have a limitless stock of machines to offer. However, things could be looking favourable for a spring bash next year, as I was approached by three sellers on Sunday, who between them could probably come up with 30+ machines. I was also approached by a well-known vintage fairground operator who has asked if we would be interested in a considerable amount of original fairground art. All of that, I think, would give us a good start with an auction in the spring. Jeremy and I haven't had a chance to talk yet, plus I need to talk further with the above mentioned vendors.........but it's looking like it could be a goer.

But back to last Sunday. Once again, thank you to everyone who came, sold and bought. We hope you all enjoyed the day, and from the feedback I've had (the texts and calls started Sunday evening) it seems like you all did.

Jerry

What? We've been running this bash for God knows how long, and I've never found this back room with ladies in it. So who else has been keeping this quiet? :#:

A very big thank you to Jerry, Jeremy and all the team for an excellent day.
A warm venue, plenty of seating and everybody nice and friendly.
Happy with the lots I sold and very happy with the a Steeraball I bought (big thank you to Les helping to lift it into the car.)
The pay in and pay out queues soon went down and I was on my way home just after 16.00.
Looking forward to next year.

Yes we're sorry about that.
We did try to drag out the queuing to pay in, but with three of us rattling through it we just failed.

I'm working on the results right now. Should all be ready to view on our auction site sometime tomorrow. I shall also email the results to Mr PM, who will no doubt put them up in the ARENA as usual.
