Well, it's generally about this time in the proceedings leading up to our auctions that I start getting nervous. The closing date for entries is next Monday, and I know you're all keeping a close eye on your calendars waiting for that date to pass so that you can all start getting your entries in during the following week! Please please get them in to me during the coming days, not weeks.
Anyway, for those who have not yet noticed, I've now added a fourth page on the auction site of goodies that will be on offer, and I have to say it's looking very good indeed - there's certainly a very nice selection of machines on offer so far, plus lots of other great stuff.

Take a look, and if you have anything to enter, please do so ASAP

Jerry

I will be coming to the auction as a total newbie looking for my first machine. Can anybody offer me any tips as in what to do or not do?
Many thanks - see you at the auction.

I would say it is always worth talking to someone if needing advice. Most people are very helpful, but of course if you pick a machine the person you talk to is also interested in, they be a little vague.

Not much else really as a relaxing environment, serve a nice pint as well.....

Playing the bagpipes is frowned upon.
Otherwise This Link will take you to the boring but essential nagging instructions. They're only there because somebody at some time or another has tried it.

We're full!

We are no longer accepting entries for our super-duper spring auction. Having been inundated with entries over the weekend, we now have a great show lined-up for you. There will be something for everyone - machines, projects, spares etc.
The full catalogue will be available to view later in the week, but do make sure the date is firmly marked in your diaries - you really will not want to miss this one!

After a few unforeseen set-backs, I've finally got the finished catalogue ready to view online. There's still a few pictures to add, and in a day or two there will also be a PDF text only catalogue available to download.

The Sport shield catcher looks an attractive machine. Is there a particular reason why no maker is credited?
The 1996 halfpennies must be rare!

I just assumed they were the much lamented 1/2 np that we all miss so much. Mind you I guess they were withdrawn before that?

I can't make any promises but I will TRY to post at least some of the results of tomorrow's auction live from the auction possibly on a new thread. This will depend on internet connection, battery life and available time. I will try not to make mistakes but, as I say, I make no promises.

I'll be interested in that, it means I can do all the paperwork before the event.
