Bally "High Boy" Console on Ebay

Postby coppinpr » Fri Jan 17, 2020 4:46 pm

If you can afford to buy, then you already have the house big enough to house it. :o

$5,680.00
Nice though.

I like this sort of thing but not at that price.
Are you aware that it's a replica cabinet?
"Slotwoodbutcher" also makes Jennings and Mills consoles and they are of very good quality.
You will need a second mortgage to buy some of his consoles. I would rather refinish the original ones!

Yes,I guessed it was not original. Does give you a good idea of what it looked like in its day. That price not good though. When I see a machine looking like this it always occurs to me that they would still get played in a pub or club today, but then I'm biased. Tell me if you saw these three Jennings machines in a pub today you wouldn't play them, even if you were told you couldn't win!

Coppinpr, I would indeed play any of those if they were in the pub.
I would be more concerned at stopping others from playing it and buying it for my collection (is that selfish?).
This is an unusual 1947 Pace console that takes 5, 10 and 25 cent coins I just finished restoring that I think you might like?
Before and after.
