Salvage Hunters
Anybody watched the programme? Salvage Hunters, with Drew Pritchard, next Saturday, 23rd at Conwy. He's having an auction (Wellers Auctioners) - everything must go, no reserve, even the box van.... What's gone wrong there??

Re: salvage hunters
One of the better TV shows, if you ask me. According to the Facebook page, their warehouse is full and they need more room.
Interestingly, I saw this a while back on his website http://www.drewpritchard.co.uk/decorati ... oting-game
It is sold now, but was up for £280.

Re: salvage hunters
Incredibly cheap, especially compared to his other gear. I wonder who the lucky person was who bought it
Re: salvage hunters
Nice one
I guess the guns were a common part that broke or were pilfered... with the other one at Junktion Antiques... all one needs is access to the one at the Elephant to try and get the bits cast.

Re: Salvage Hunters

Barn finds to be selling for that price.

Re: salvage hunters
Yer, me - I live five miles away from it. I will and ask them or maybe it's already gone.
Re: salvage hunters
The warehouse on the tv in Wales
Is closed
He is trying to sell all the crap
He over paid for
Around the north west
He knows a lot about stained glass
Think that's it
But the lucky f@@ker I believe
As got the place above libertys in London
So he's soon going to be trading from there
If you live nr this place in Cornwall
Get there quick
Because conveyors are quite sort after
They don't come cheap

Re: salvage hunters
Wouldn't surprise me if he went out of business - the few times I've seen it he has driven two-handed at least 500 miles and bought next to bugger all.

Re: salvage hunters
They used to have a museum attached to the pub. It had quite a few vintage slots in it, including a full set of Bryans Magic machines!!! But don't get too excited - it was all sold off years ago.

Re: salvage hunters
There is an antiques barn near me, usual thing: areas rented out to different people, the owner has put lots of items on a ledge that runs around the walls to "give the place some charm". He won't sell these items because, "it would make the place look drab". One of the items is a clown catcher.
Re: salvage hunters
I happened to stay in Lewes last year for a weekend with friends and visited that two story antiques place. Spotted the Clown and eventually was given the price of 1100 pounds! Strangely, I didn't buy.
But I adored Lewes, the loveliest town I've ever visited in the UK! I really liked the hill top position of much of it, so every building is on a unique angle making it ever changing and interesting.

Re: salvage hunters
The next time you're behind him in the queue for the dunny, tap him on the shoulder and suggest it Andy.
Re: Salvage Hunters
All Andy has to do is "lose" some important parts of that Coronet and I'll be all over it like stink on a june bug!
I hadn't realised until he mentioned it to me the other day that the mech was mostly hand made - which adds to it's interest no end. But on my budget I can only afford projects. And I've learnt a hell of a lot more from researching & restoring them than just by collecting them.
