Re: The Wonders List
In the March issue of Mechanical Memories Magazine, I published details of seven previously unknown Wonders allwins. These have come to light as a result of the discovery of four Wondermatics advertisements, which were published in the Amusement Caterers' Association year books, 1962 - 65. The seven 'new' machines are:
CANNON BALLS (1965)
CHIP OR BUST (1964)
HELTER-SKELTER (1963)
JACK-IN-A-BOX (1965)
KUM FISHING (1962)
PLUSFORE (1962)
SNOOKER (1963)
* Added to the list - thanks Jerry, Pennymachines.
Due to space limitations, I was unable to publish all four advertisements in the magazine, so here they are.

Sadly, Arrgee, I expect most users of this site remember LSD.
I know a few hippy types who probably remember the other LSD too!

Wonder List - Alternative Wonder Win Back Flash
Have found a photograph of a Wonder Win with alternative back flash (looks similar to that used for Bonus Win) to that shown on pennymachines website. This is from a Christie's auction dated 23/05/2002 - appears it sold at the time for £329 (including buyers premium) - the link is http://www.christies.com/LotFinder/lot_ ... ID=3916359

Re: Wonders pictures
The difference between the two are that the Bonus Win has feature which allows a ball falling into one particular channel of the gantry to fall into a hold position within the mechanism. Subsequently, when a win is made by another ball this releases the held ball to allow an extra coin to be paid out. If you look at the playfield of the Bonus Win below the gantry there is a viewing window which allows a player to see if a ball is resting in the mech which would allow for an extra payout. As you saw, the artwork is basically the same.

Re: Wonders pictures
Spotted photo on a Belgium pinball website of what appears to be a Wonders allwin on sale at a Dutch jukebox show in 2004.
The photo is of poor quality, but looks to be of the 8 cup variety and the back flash appears to read "????? Selecta", so not sure if this is a known machine or something new for the Wonders List - any ideas?

Re: Wonders pictures
I believe the above is a Wonders Super Selecta allwin.

Re: Wonders pictures
Hi Dave - not guilty. I took pot luck with a feeble commission bid. Did it go for lots of dough then?

Re: Wonders pictures
It was Charterhouse in Sherborne - I was lucky enough to be the under-bidder and it had been converted to single coin payout.

Re: Wonders pictures
Just to prove me wrong, J Nicholas sent a photo of this Fruit Drop - essentially a Dropacopper in a different guise.PennyMachines wrote:Dropacopper Electro mechanical. The last of the line and as far as I know the only machine Wonders made that wasn't an allwin.
Wonders Flip or Drop
Thread merged - Site Admin
There is a machine on ebay, stating that it is a Wonders Flip or Drop....The owner has replaced the case and looking at the insides probably other parts...Looking at the Wonders list on the site, it is not being listed, so is this another later Wonders machine produced. The rubber bumpers seem to be the same as the Dropacopper, which I already have, but the graphics seem crude. Anyone heard of one of these?
How it works is another thing
