If you look closely on the floor to the right of the machine at the beginning of this video, there is a Bryans "All Sport." I kept waiting for the man demonstrating the machine to knock it off the stand. Now THAT would have been exciting. If I'm correct, this machine has been offered on Ebay in the past and by the Seller "Mike 1635," the fellow currently offering "The Darby." This seller does not own the games he lists but only acts as selling agent for whomever is the true owner. The prices asked for the games offered by Mike 1635 are extremely high, without exception in my opinion.

The last 3 videos are private unfortunately! Do you have more information on the Nénette grip tester? Thanks.

I have one of these German strength testers but in much better original condition.

Speaking of Mike 1635 I recently messaged him about the 'Dorset Dan' drinking man automaton he has listed on ebay at $17,500! stating it was made in the 1920's and I said its more like made in the 1990's. He responded by saying its actually listed in Darren Heskeths book but only the cabinet was 1990's and the doll was 1920's.

I replied by saying Darren was actually round at mine today and we had discussed that machine from the toy auction sale amongst other things......... and Mike 1635 didn't respond! I didnt know he was selling for others.

For some reason the owner has now restricted access on them. What a shame! There's a short discussion of Nénette on the German forum.

By the way - :WELCOME:

Interesting blog you have there!

Thanks for the link, the welcome and the compliment :)

I'm part of a French non profit association, and we are doing animations with traditional games and others. I was visiting your forum, because we have a machine called Dynamomètre in France (dynamometer) : https://www.wellouej.com/blog/dynamometre-marcel-lutz/

It is a strength tester which was sold by a company called Stella in the 50s.

We have a museum with traditional games some and penny machines https://www.ferme-galame.org/ between Calais and Dunkerque in the North of France.
