New Look Forum

Post by arrgee »

Quite a surprise  when I logged in to see the new style Forum.

A few questions - some of the previously posted photos cannot be viewed as a complete unit and has to scrolled down or across which is a pity as seeing the entire picture is better than just one enlarged section at a time. Is there any way that a complete photo can be viewed ? is this feature just related to the old postings ?

How are photos attached to new postings ?

Hi,
Yes I agree - for our purposes it's better to have the pictures sized to fit without any scrolling. This is one of about a dozen things I'm planning to change if I can. Previously I modified it so large pictures were scaled to fit the post and could be clicked to open a full size view in a separate window.

To upload a picture click the Upload attachment tab below the Save, Preview, Submit buttons and click Browse to select the picture on your computer. Then hit the Add the file button. Repeat process for more images.
I will look to making this clearer too.

Oh :-?
Can you have another look and see if I've fixed it. The Upload attachment tab should be on the right of the Options tab (only visible if you're logged on).

You'll notice your large image is now displayed scaled down to fit. Click it for the full size version.
Nice machine by the way.

Yes, I noticed the scaled down photo and the enlarging facility, great work on this site PennyMachines.

The Ahrens Palmist is not mine !! I saw it in the Steam Museum at Swindon, along with a few other machines. Yes lovely looking machine and in very good condition. I posted a Haunted House and a Crane just before Christmas, they are also in the museum.

I'd like to put in a request for the "easy" button; you know, the one formerly known as the "posts since my last visit" button. It's not like I want to admit that I can't easily remember what I have and have not read, but I CANNOT REMEMBER WHAT I HAVE AND HAVE NOT READ.
Ahem........Thank you.

Thanks, Mr. PennyMachines. When all else fails, "read the instructions!" I like the new look, by the way. This site keeps getting better and better. You are still No.1 in my book.

Best regards,

John
