Over 100 pinballs in one
Over 100 pinballs in one
OK, not exactly vintage and maybe too modern for the majority of members
I had ran out of projects to restore and was bored I decided to knock this up. The end results were quite good and I was really impressed at the quality and how the 3d worked with an Xbox Kinect.
It has over 100 tables exactly the same as originals and works exactly like a real pinball table. You can even add motors and knockers to make it more realistic.
Mine is a mini version, but is really a nice size for a house with no room.
Anyways, just thought I would share in case it inspired anyone to make their own.

Re: Something different for a change
That looks amazing!
I've used MAME emulator for 80s arcade games quite a bit and made myself a countertop cabinet with joystick, buttons etc.
That's a great design.

Well I'll be strewth'ed.
I think we deserve to see a video of it playing, and I think we need to see that soon.
Can you also get Coronation Street on the bottom one whilst East Enders is seen on the top?
Crazy legs by the way.
Edited .... To add my apologies for not being able to think of a sensible comment regarding knockers, I'm starting to worry about me.

Astonishing and impressive.
However I do have to comment that all of the dozen or so pinballs I've owned over the years have also been in 3D.

Looks fab - wonder how much these would fetch if a big manufacturer got involved??

I didn't appreciate what you'd done there until I viewed the video. I like it - very clever stuff!
It would be tempting to take this a step further and build it into a genuine old (scrap) pintable and maybe hide the Kinect sensors in the backbox somewhere?
As humperdingle suggests, surely a market for this?

Re: Something different for a change
I am planning to build a ps3 eyetoy into the back box and doing away with the Kinect. That way it would be hidden. It also works so much better with a wii remote but you need to wear an infra red sensor on your head for it to work. I think the problem with selling them is the ROMs are from original machines and there would be a big argument about copyright for them.
