Last edition
Re: Last edition
Not many posts on this thread, come on guys.......
Anyway, thanks Jerry, I for one enjoyed the read while I have been subscribing really appreciate the dedicated contributors, who without them, there would have been no issues. Never contributed myself as I have always felt a novice in this field and only been collecting in recent years, but I guess that is not an excuse.
I hope at a minimum people use this site in terms of contribution, which has been perhaps slack by some established people in recent times......,
See you in Brighton

Re: Last edition
yes a sad day for the mag... thank you jerry for putting it together for all theses years... and keeping it together
Re: Last edition
I received my last mag yesterday. Will be sorely missed. Informative. Helpful. Sometimes funny. For a modest unskilled collector like myself has been invaluable. Reading others' memories of various arcades very nostalgic for me. Thanks Jerry. A great deal of hard work for little reward. All I can say is that your efforts were enormously appreciated by me and I am sure by many.

Re: Last edition
For goodness sake don't do what I just did.
I thought I'd post a Youtube video of "Thanks for the memories" expecting Frank Sinatra or the like.
I must have mis-spelt it and it defaulted to "thanks for the mammories", still it whiled away the morning.

Re: Last edition
For me, the outstanding contribrutions were the Oliver Whales and Jamiesons histories together with the memories of Robert Rowland, always engaging, fun and amusing, sometimes jogging my memory but often wishing that I had similar occurencies.
Re: Last edition
Sad to see it go, enjoyed the read and the wide variety of subject matter. Well done Jerry and all the contributors.
Re: Last edition
Reitorate all of the above comments, the hours spent on this venture over the years must have been vast, congratulations and well done Jerry on assisting to help keep the slot community together and informed with MMM.

Re: Last edition
As I am a newbie is there any source for getting digital back editions of "mechanical memories magazine" ?
Re: Last edition
Hello, and welcome to our wonderful hobby!
Answer to your question - no. However, the website still exists and I am in the process of adding content (which at present cannot be viewed) from past issues. I shall also be making back issues available in due course, so keep an eye on the site, although it is unlikely that anything will be 'live' until later in the year.

Re: Last edition
Make sure you are at Coventry this year - there are usually a bundle or two for sale.
Re: Last edition
I could not resist and purchased the set on ebay of issues 1-90 for a lot of pennies! Was the last edition in February 2016 No 98?
If so does anyone have copies that they would want to sell of issues 91-98?
Thanks, Laurence

Re: Last edition
Hi Lawrence, the last issue of MMM was number 96 and dated December 2015 - it was not actually sent out until February 2016
Re: Last edition
Thanks for letting me know. If anyone has spare copies of issues 91-96 then please can you get in touch with me.

Re: Last edition
Laurence - sorry I didn't reply to your last post, at least Arrgee came up with an answer (I wouldn't have known off the top of my head). Anyway, I'm sure I have issues 91 - 96, I'll report back after Christmas, although you may have to nudge me
