Sure we know it, you have to realise that there are stacks of machines with similar names.

First check for a coin jam, either a rogue coin that has dropped into the mech and is jamming everything.
Or inside the coin tube or even the payout slides if coins have upended it won't payout.
If you're sure there is no coin jam then: -
Listen to the machine as it runs down. It should sound like this ........

1) Rattle (reel stop one engaging)
2) Rattle (reel stop two engaging)
3) Rattle (reel stop three engaging)
4) Clunk (as the payout fingers drop onto the plates attached to the reels)
5) Quiet Click as the slide bundle are released.

Unless you hear all five sounds get back to us.

If none of the sound advice given above cures the problem, do the following-
Hi res pictures of the payout mechanism are, im sure, what any potentially helpful contributor would be looking for.
Then , anyone who has one, can then compare it to a working example they have.
Sorry I could not be of more help! :!?!:

Aha, attached below a pic of what I think is the problem. There is a metal bar underneath the centre reel and attached to it is another bar which I think should be poking through a hole in the back of the coin container. There is a spring that is broken and I can't see where it has to attach to. I have tried to get my hand in there to see where it has come away from but it is very tight. Suggestions?

Hi, in a feaverish attempt to solve the prob of why my machine is paying out the wrong amounts, I have come across references to very similar machines that have, as far as I can tell just different reels. One is a fruit type machine and the other has numbers. I don't have much to go on, but I wondered if anyone has one of these very similar machines and if they are all made in Germany and by the same company? I only found a picture of the number machine attached below.

all these mechs are German, the fruits were often used on machines used in the UK the numbers in Germany the mechs are the same either way. open the machine ,run the cycle till you get a winner and check the correct slides have fired to pay the correct amount,if not check to see why the problem slide didnt fire, These mechs are tricky to work on ,mostly because of the poor quality metal, especially the slides so take care, if the machine is running on old 1d the slides will have been most likley drilled out to a larger size to take the 1d, this leaves the shoulders of the slide very thin and even more likley to break. most likley either the slides are sticking, one is broke or the rod that determines the payout amount is not moving the correct distance. run the cycle and see what is going on,then let us know

Hi there I just love to find out the history of these machines, so thank you. I would have a stab at what you are suggesting if I knew which part of the machine you are referring to. Remember I'm the 'hit it with a hammer' person! :smash:

its not going to easy if your unsure of the basic workings of the machine, open the machine and run the machine, when you get a winner note which parts move and pay, the slides are the pieces that hold the coins ready to pay and will be just above the coin payout bowl.

You WILL find your machine at this excellent site http://www.automatix-club.de/
look through the alphabetical lists bottom left of the welcome page. BUT I dont think you will find it as "double Six" only under what ever its german name was

Ah thanks again, is it the flat plates that are stacked on top of each other with a load of springs on the top?

Hi, checked the plate thingys and all seem to be ok. Looked again at the spring I replaced that opperates the arm beneath the centre reel and it was way too tight. Shortened the spring a bit and Voila! She's paying out again. Woo hoo!!! !!RAYOF!! Thanks for your help guys. Is there like a slot machine convention anywhere, it would be really nice to meet you in person and buy you a drink!
